Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Relationship Banker to join our team at M&T Bank. As a key member of our branch team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, identifying sales opportunities, and growing our business through proactive outreach and referrals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively engage with customers to understand their financial needs and provide tailored solutions
  • Identify and pursue sales opportunities to grow our business and meet branch goals
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure their banking needs are met
  • Collaborate with internal partners to provide comprehensive financial solutions
  • Stay up-to-date on operational, product, and system changes to ensure effective risk management and customer service
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of retail sales, customer service, or telesales experience required
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to demonstrate exceptional customer service
  • Well-organized individual with time management and prioritization skills
  • Demonstrated financial services product knowledge
  • Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy with internal and external customers
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates degree
  • Notary public license
  • Bilingual based on branch needs
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Prolonged use of hands and fingers
  • Ability to lift light to heavy objects weighing 5 lbs. to 30lbs
  • Ability to read fine print
  • Ability to interact with customers in an open face-to-face work environment

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $34.05 Hourly (USD). The successful candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
