Job Summary

The Yard Truck Driver is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the sea container and semi-trailer yard, supporting production flow by preparing the assembly line for the Isuzu N-Gas product line.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of the parts lot, including sea containers and semi-trailers
  • Inspect inbound containers and trailers for damage and communicate with the Isuzu supply chain
  • Manage paperwork and communicate with drivers regarding container returns
  • Deliver containers and trailers to the production facility based on the build schedule
  • Document inbound and outbound containers and trailers and communicate with the Isuzu supply chain daily
  • Adhere to all relevant safety standards
  • Perform various tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Manage hourly and daily needs for the process
  • Responsible for vehicle inspection and maintenance logs
  • Schedule equipment repairs as needed
  • Identify issues and bottle necks in day-to-day operations and respond in a timely and decisive manner
  • Maintain organization of the yard, prioritizing safety
  • Understand the sequence and priority of each dock shipment
  • Identify and communicate parts shortages
  • Initiate process improvements
  • Work with customers as needed
  • Solve complex problems with minimal assistance
  • Obtain and maintain a valid fork truck/stand up license, including completion of daily maintenance logs and proper maintenance of equipment
Requirements
  • Possess a CDL Class A with medical card, or be willing to obtain as needed
  • Excellent attendance and safety record
