We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ICU/Critical Care Travel Nurse to join our team at Travel Nurse Source. As a critical care travel nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the ICU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the patient's medical history, physical condition, and treatment goals.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician, and monitor patient response to therapy.
- Perform various medical procedures, such as drawing blood, administering medications, and performing EKGs and telemetry monitoring.
- Participate in code blue situations and provide critical care to patients in need.
- Document patient care and progress in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice.
- At least one year of experience in ICU/Critical Care nursing, with a strong background in critical care principles and practices.
- Current ACLS and BLS certification, with PALS certification preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
