About the Position

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team at Supplemental Health Care. As a school services specialist, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students with disabilities.

This is a contract position that requires the teacher to work in an inclusive classroom setting, providing support and instruction to students with diverse learning needs. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, patience, and the ability to adapt to changing situations.

The position offers a competitive hourly rate and the chance to work with a dynamic team of educators who share your passion for education and student success.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive support services.
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students in small group settings.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress.
  • Must have a Professional Educator License (PEL) from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) with LBS1 Endorsement.
  • Prior experience working with students with special needs is preferred but not required.
