Probation and Supervision Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Specialized Populations Officer. This role is responsible for providing case management and supervision services to high-risk individuals who are part of our Problem-Solving Court program, post-release supervision, or other specialized cases.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate, monitor, and supervise targeted high-risk individuals on probation, post-release supervision, and/or involved in a Problem-Solving Court adult and juvenile offenders.
- Perform counseling, case management, case reporting, and related functions of managing a caseload under close supervision.
- Develop a team supervision approach with the individual's referral source, including probation officers, navigation officers, Problem Solving Court teams, county jail staff, and prison caseworkers.
- Participate in the treatment process of individuals and engage in regular and ongoing communication with treatment providers and attend treatment groups and facilities.
- Facilitate groups, including topical, supervision groups, cognitive programs, skill-building, life skills enhancement, and general education of clients.
- Prepare violation reports, compliance reports, and conduct record checks; enter and update client information into appropriate systems; determine reports to send to the court for updates.
- Bachelor's degree in social services, criminal justice, or a directly related field.
- Two years of experience in case management in a related field.
- Knowledge of customer service principles, the criminal justice system, laws, legal codes, and court procedures.
- Ability to perform interviews and assessments, intervene in crisis situations, and utilize cognitive skill-building and motivational learning techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
