Job Overview

Advanced Dermatology is seeking a dedicated and licensed Medical Aesthetician to join our dynamic dermatology practice.

Classification: Hourly

Compensation: Starting at $20 per hour, commensurate with experience and skill level. Full-time roles come with a comprehensive benefits package.

Department: Aesthetic Services

Reporting To: Practice Manager

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare treatment rooms as necessary for patient services.
  • Deliver a range of aesthetic treatments effectively, including:
    • Facials
    • Dermaplaning
    • Chemical Peels
    • Microneedling
    • Microdermabrasion
    • Hydrafacial
    • Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)
    • Laser Hair Removal (LHR)
    • Fraxel Treatments
    • Photodynamic Therapy (PDT)
    • Vascular Laser Treatments
  • Manage patient care by calling in numbing creams as required.
  • Order necessary products or communicate needs to the lead aesthetician.
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of treatment areas after each patient.
  • Maintain and operate lasers and equipment as per manufacturer guidelines.
  • Assist with patient check-in, scheduling, and check-out processes.
  • Participate in mandatory training sessions.
  • Respond promptly to patient inquiries via email and phone.
  • Support medical assistants with laundry and other tasks as needed.
Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Must possess a valid aesthetician license.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and medical terminology is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of aesthetic procedures such as IPL, LHR, Fraxel, facials, peels, tinting, and waxing.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to uphold quality, safety, and infection control standards.
Skills:
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in EMR systems.
  • Reliable and self-motivated.
  • Competent in Microsoft Word and Excel; capable of formatting documents and managing schedules.
  • Familiarity with operating standard office equipment.
  • Adherence to HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
Work Environment:

This position is based in a professional medical office setting, utilizing standard office equipment.

Physical Requirements:

This role involves active engagement, including walking, standing, and occasional lifting.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position requiring 36-40 hours per week, with a schedule typically spanning Monday to Friday.
