MedStar Health is seeking a skilled Monitor Technician to join our team at MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital. As a Monitor Technician, you will play a vital role in monitoring patients on telemetry consoles and ensuring the safe and effective operation of the Monitoring Console.
Key Responsibilities- Document rhythm every two hours on EKG flow sheet and immediately report any changes in cardiac rhythm to the nurse.
- Obtain strips of irregularities and maintain charge requisitions on monitored patients.
- Ensure that paper loaders are full and monitor assigned telemetry console.
- Provide a verbal report to relief persons and give a patient report to oncoming technicians.
- Verify and adjust alarm limits as established for the levels appropriate to the individual patient.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience with emergency situations and maintaining continuous strips of cardiac rhythms.
- Completion of the Monitor Technician Program.
