Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Independence Village Senior Living. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our residents' living spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean assigned areas according to established policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our residents.
  • Perform housekeeping tasks in public areas, including cleaning common spaces, restrooms, and windows.
  • Deep clean individual units on a weekly basis, paying attention to details and ensuring a high level of cleanliness.
  • Assist with exterior window washing twice a year, as needed.
  • Ensure a safe living environment by reporting concerns or observations about residents to your supervisor.
  • Respond to requests from residents and staff promptly and efficiently.
  • Empty trash containers on a regularly scheduled basis and as needed.
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in in-service training to stay up-to-date on best practices and company policies.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or GED
  • Must be age 18 or older
  • Experience with cleaning occupied apartments, hotel cleaning, or long-term care facilities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with general cleaning procedures
  • Willingness to learn and help others
  • Enjoyment in working with older adults
