Position Overview
The 340B Pharmacy Program Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing Adelante's 340B drug pricing initiative. This position serves as the primary authority and liaison for all matters related to the 340B program. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, implementing guidelines from the HRSA's Office of Pharmacy Affairs, managing projects, and developing processes to uphold legal standards.
Qualifications Required
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- Certified Pharmacy Technician certification
- 340B ACE certification
- A minimum of two years of supervisory experience
- Two to three years of experience in a healthcare or pharmacy environment
- Proficiency in purchasing, inventory management, distribution, and cost analysis
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- CPR and AED certification for healthcare professionals
- Valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card from the Arizona Department of Public Safety
Daily Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction for the 340B program
- Monitor staff performance, organize work activities, and ensure compliance with quality standards
- Lead the 340B program committee with representatives from various departments
- Stay informed about policies affecting the 340B program, including HRSA/OPA regulations
- Ensure continuous compliance with all federal regulations related to the 340B program
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures in line with state and federal requirements
- Create training materials for the 340B program
- Oversee the annual HRSA recertification process and maintain accurate records
- Conduct self-audits of the 340B process and manage external audits
- Address pharmacy billing issues and implement preventive measures
- Collaborate with the finance department to track revenue and expenses associated with the 340B program
- Work with the Credentialing team and external Pharmacy Data Informatics to maintain updated provider lists
