We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse III to join our team at UNC Health. As a key member of our pulmonary and nephrology intermediate care unit, you will provide exceptional care to patients with complex problems, utilizing your expertise in critical thinking and clinical skills.
This is a full-time position with a standard schedule of 36 hours per week. The salary range is $50.62 per hour, and the job is exempt from overtime.
Responsibilities- Assessment: Synthesize data from complex situations to determine priorities for care, including physical, psychosocial, and educational needs.
- Education: Participate in identifying and meeting learning needs of self and others, and assist in development and presentation of staff education programs.
- Evaluation: Evaluate patient progress and revise plan accordingly, maintaining accountability for carrying out components of the plan.
- Implementation: Demonstrate expertise in care of patients with complex problems, including physical, psychosocial, and educational aspects of care.
- Leadership: Develop goals to promote professional growth or minimize limitations, and participate in activities that facilitate intra/interdepartmental collaboration.
- Graduation from a state-accredited school of professional nursing.
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
- One (1) year of nursing experience.
This position is employed by NC Health (Rex Healthcare, Inc., d/b/a NC Health), a private, fully-owned subsidiary of UNC Health Care System.
