Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer I to join our team at ELLWOOD National Forge. This role will be based at our Irvine Plant, with occasional assignments to our Corry/Warren Plants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Standardize work instructions and control plans for semi-finished and finished parts.
  • Conduct manufacturing evaluations and optimize processes to reduce costs and improve quality.
  • Lead the implementation of LEAN principles to reduce setup times and improve tooling and fixturing.
  • Facilitate the manufacturing design process, including design review and route review meetings.
  • Collaborate with sales to quote machining hours and tooling costs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related engineering discipline (Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred).
  • 2-5 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs.
  • Proficiency in Solid Works modeling software and/or NX.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Results-oriented with a strong desire to succeed and self-driven.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with machining or machine tools.
  • Manufacturing planning.
  • Metallurgy, including heat treatment and mechanical requirements.
  • TOC manufacturing concepts.
  • Tooling experience.
