About the Role:
Your Part-Time Controller, LLC, is a national leader in providing outsourced accounting services to nonprofit organizations. We are seeking a talented Controller to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Transform nonprofit client financial departments to help them meet their mission
- Financial reporting for management and Board decision making and presentations
- Recommending and implementing improvements to accounting, operations, internal controls, and compliance policies and procedures, supporting client strategy and best practices
- Transactional activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable (revenue recognition and billing), and payroll, general accounting, reconciliations, month-end close, and maintaining workpapers
- Analysis and data visualization, budgeting and forecasting
- Grant management, allocations, and funder reporting
- Prepare for and manage annual audit
- Client and staff training opportunities
Requirements:
- Passionate about working in or supporting non-profit organizations
- Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance
- 5-7 plus years accounting experience
- Experience working in a remote environment preferred
- Ability to manage and lead multiple clients, work independently, and be responsive on a timely basis
- Demonstrated strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with multiple GL packages, especially QuickBooks, and electronic bill pay systems
- Non-profit accounting, public accounting experience, and/or consulting experience is a plus but not required
- CPA certification is a plus
- Bilingual-English/Spanish a plus

Benefits:
- 4 WEEKS PAID TIME OFF, generally consisting of 100 hours paid vacation to start with eligibility for additional vacation based on tenure and a minimum 40 hours sick time, subject to applicable state law

Compensation:
Starting annual base salary is $90,000 to $120,000 based on a 35-hour work week for this non-exempt position. Total compensation may increase with overtime pay and eligibility for various bonuses. A professional development reimbursement and technology stipend are also provided on an annual basis.
Please note that the base salary offered may vary depending on relevant factors as determined by Your Part-Time Controller, LLC, which may include, but are not limited to, education, skill, experience, licensure and certifications, internal salary ranges, geographical location, and other business needs.
