Position Overview:
The Senior AV Solutions Engineer will play a pivotal role within our global field technician team, enjoying a dynamic work environment with the freedom to operate across various client locations. Utilizing your engineering expertise and technical acumen, you will be responsible for the installation and integration of video conferencing and audiovisual systems, alongside conducting preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs.
  • Travel Requirements: A flexible approach and willingness to travel are essential for this position.
  • Work Environment: Varies based on client site.
  • Employment Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
  • Leadership Role: Experience in supervisory or team lead capacities is required.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation and configuration of an extensive range of video conferencing (VC) and integrated audiovisual equipment, including but not limited to Cisco, Zoom, Polycom, digital signage, IPTV, SMART Boards, projection systems, audio equipment, room controllers, and monitoring systems from brands like Crestron, AMX, Extron, Kramer, ClearOne, and Biamp.
  • Possess technical skills and a solid understanding of VC solutions and IT network infrastructures.
  • Engage in the complete installation process, from soldering cables and connectors to integrating comprehensive Crestron/AMX presentation systems with video conferencing capabilities. Ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of an installation team.
  • Execute all cabling installation requirements, including soldering, crimping, cable pulls, and terminations.
  • Familiarity with video wall and controller options.
  • Comprehension of rack building and wiring.
  • Perform code uploads, configurations, fault diagnostics, and technical checks on-site.
  • Follow cable schedules, risk assessments, and method statements while interpreting cabling diagrams.
  • Provide training and support to clients in the operation of VC and AV systems.
  • Conduct audits, prepare reports, and complete delivery site surveys.
  • Manage teams and schedules as necessary.
  • Possess knowledge of engineering health and safety training, including risk assessments.
Candidate Profile:
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role.
  • A mature personality with the capability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, often under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Technical knowledge and proven installation experience with VC and AV solutions, including but not limited to Cisco, AMX, Crestron, Microsoft, Zoom, and Polycom.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize a diverse workload.
  • Innovative mindset with the ability to implement effective problem-solving strategies.
  • Flexibility regarding working hours and a willingness to travel extensively.
  • A high level of professionalism and customer service awareness.

  • Supervisory experience, including overseeing L1 and L2 Technicians and team lead responsibilities.
  • Physically fit, as lifting may be required.
