Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Neonatology Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our esteemed neonatal care team in Chicago, IL. As a critical member of our team, you will provide specialized care to premature and critically ill newborns, ensuring optimal health outcomes and support for families during challenging times.

About the Role
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and manage the care of neonates in the NICU, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing procedures as needed.
  • Collaborate with neonatologists and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for each infant.
  • Provide education and support to families, helping them understand their newborn's condition and treatment options.
Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring and evaluating patients' progress, making timely adjustments to care plans based on clinical findings.
  • Participating in rounds, case discussions, and team meetings to enhance care delivery and improve patient outcomes.
  • Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and institutional policies.
Qualifications
  • Active NP license in the state of Illinois
  • 1 to 2 years of neonatology experience (preferred)
  • Active DEA certification
