Key Responsibilities:
  • Acquire and maintain a high level of expertise in the detailed design practices of SEL's protection and automation systems.
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of SEL's equipment and solutions tailored for electric power system protection and automation.
  • Engage in RTAC/PLC programming and validation.
  • Implement and configure SCADA application packages such as Wonderware, Copadata Zenon, Citect, and RTAC HMI.
  • Conduct quality assurance and quality control assessments.
  • Participate in commissioning activities, dedicating over 25% of your time.
  • Lead and support projects focused on automation.
  • Utilize your understanding of relay and PLC AC/DC schematics and power system one-line diagrams.
  • Design local area networks for utility and industrial applications.
  • Define communication architectures.
Candidate Profile:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of electrical power systems or industrial automation practices.
  • Basic knowledge of system protection, integration, and automation applications.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate self-sufficiency.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Adaptable and open to diverse challenges.
  • Willingness to explore SEL products.
  • Availability for travel, approximately 25% of the time.
  • Strong documentation and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with electric power transmission, distribution, or generation systems.
  • Familiarity with electric power systems and protective relay applications.
  • Hands-on experience with SCADA and PLC applications.
