Position Overview

As a First Assistant Registered Nurse (RNFA), you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional surgical care and support to patients. This position involves working closely with surgeons to ensure the highest standards of patient management throughout the surgical process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the surgeon during surgical procedures by performing essential technical functions, including tissue manipulation and wound closure.
  • Provide comprehensive preoperative and postoperative care to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Act as the primary assistant to the surgeon, maintaining clear communication regarding any patient care concerns.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of eighteen months of recent experience in Acute Care Perioperative Nursing, with proficiency as both a scrub and circulating nurse.
  • Possession of an active RN License.
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Successful completion of an RNFA program that adheres to AORN education standards.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and CNOR certifications.
