SUMMARY: Under the guidance of the Customer Service Supervisor, the Customer Service Representative engages with clients to address inquiries, resolve issues, and clarify insurance benefits and procedures. This role involves handling incoming calls exclusively, with no outbound sales or cold calling required. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with standard hours from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responds to customer inquiries through inbound calls, providing solutions to routine questions regarding benefits and claims.
- Utilizes internal technical tools to research customer information in response to inquiries related to authorizations, payments, coordination of benefits, and eligibility.
- Investigates, analyzes, and resolves outstanding issues to ensure customer satisfaction, taking ownership of the resolution process.
- Maintains accurate records of all customer interactions.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient keyboarding skills and computer literacy.
- Strong communication and organizational abilities.
- Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Experience in medical and/or dental insurance is advantageous.
