PRN Paramedic

The Mitchell County Regional Health Center is seeking a skilled Paramedic to join our Emergency Services Department. As a PRN Paramedic, you will play a critical role in providing advanced emergency medical care to patients in need.

This position requires a high level of autonomy, critical thinking, and effective communication skills. You will be responsible for responding to emergency calls, assessing patients, and providing treatment and transportation as needed.

• Respond rapidly and safely to emergency situations in the response area.
• Assess patients and provide critical care, including disentanglement and extrication.
• Transport and treat patients according to established protocols and guidelines.
• Document patient information and communicate effectively with nursing and support staff.
• Maintain clinical duties and adapt to changing situations.

• State of Iowa Paramedic certification or equivalent required.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• National Registry Certification as a Paramedic preferred.
• Emergency Vehicle Driving Safety course preferred.

• Able to work independently in high-stress situations and provide competent care.
• Able to lead other crew members in patient care and all aspects related to EMS.
• Able to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license.

• Able to squat, lift, and transfer over 100 pounds with assistance.
