Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and vigilant Security Officer to join our team at Ojos Locos. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our patrons, staff, and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • ID Verification: Conduct thorough ID checks to ensure only authorized individuals gain access to our premises.
  • Patron Screening: Screen patrons for prohibited items and behaviors, maintaining a safe and secure environment for all.
  • Incident Reporting: Accurately document and report incidents, including details of who, what, when, and why, to ensure prompt action is taken.
  • Force Reporting: Immediately report any use of force to the Director of Security and submit a detailed report by the end of the shift.
  • Premises Monitoring: Conduct regular walk-throughs to ensure the security and integrity of our facilities, including restrooms, outdoor exit areas, and other potential hiding spots.
  • Parking Lot Surveillance: Monitor the parking lot from a designated area to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Smoking Area Enforcement: Ensure patrons are not smoking in unauthorized areas.
  • Team Collaboration: Contribute to the team effort by completing tasks as needed and providing assistance to colleagues when required.
  • Coworker Monitoring: Maintain awareness of coworker activity to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Security Protocols: Adhere to and execute key security protocols to protect Ojos Locos' interests.
Work Schedule

The expected work hours are as scheduled, typically between 5 pm and 3 am on Thursdays through Saturdays, and 5 pm to 1 am on Sundays through Wednesdays. You are responsible for accurately clocking in and out during each shift.

Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for up to 6 hours and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills are required.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are essential.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in the field of security is necessary.
  • Certifications: CPR/first Aid certification and continuing education/training in the field of security completed annually.
