Senior Physician Opportunity in Southern Louisiana

Physician Empire is seeking a skilled Internal Medicine physician to join our team in Southern Louisiana. This exciting opportunity offers a unique blend of challenging cases and a high quality of life.
About the JobWe are looking for a board-certified or board-eligible Internal Medicine physician to work as a Hospitalist in our 230-bed acute care hospital. The ideal candidate will have experience in critical care and be comfortable working in an open ICU setting with well-established pulmonary critical care services on staff.
The successful candidate will be responsible for caring for critically ill patients, including those requiring ventilator management and other complex medical interventions. They will also participate in code coverage and provide consultation services as needed.
In terms of schedule and workload, the physician will work a block schedule with 7 days on and 7 days off, with a rotation that includes Sundays and Mondays. No procedures will be required, and the census per day will be split evenly among Hospitalists.
The patient population will primarily consist of adults, with no pediatric cases. The physician will have access to a range of specialties, including emergency medicine, surgery, and cardiology, among others.
The compensation package will include a base salary, opportunities for bonus pay based on wRVUs and quality incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and 403(b) plans. Additionally, there will be a starting bonus, relocation reimbursement, student loan forgiveness, paid professional liability insurance, CME and dues/membership reimbursement, and malpractice tail coverage.
