Company Overview

We are Amazon, a rapidly growing e-commerce company that requires talented and experienced Corporate Counsel to support our Buy with Prime and Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment businesses.

Salary

The base salary for this position ranges from $138,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,000/year in our highest geographic market. Total compensation includes equity, sign-on payments, and other benefits in addition to medical, financial, and/or other benefits.

Job Description

You'll be responsible for counseling the sales and business development teams on commercial, licensing, technology, and regulatory matters. You will work directly with the business, structuring, drafting, and negotiating commercial transactions. Your role will involve resolving issues that arise in commercial relationships, developing strategies for handling legal issues, and building processes that address risk and allow the business flexibility and freedom to move quickly.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A Juris Doctor degree and membership in one state bar or equivalent
  • 5+ years of legal experience in transactional and technology licensing or equivalent
  • A mix of corporate law firm and in-house experience is a plus
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to cross-functional teams
  • Sound judgment even in ambiguous situations
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects, follow through, and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
