Key Responsibilities:- Perform assessments and evaluations of students' communication skills.
- Design and execute personalized treatment plans (IEPs) tailored to individual assessment outcomes.
- Provide direct therapeutic services to students experiencing speech and language challenges.
- Track and document student progress, modifying treatment strategies as needed.
- Work alongside teachers, parents, and school staff to foster student learning and growth.
- Engage in IEP meetings and assist in setting educational objectives.
- Maintain precise and current records of student assessments, treatment plans, and progress documentation.
- Stay updated on the latest research, best practices, and relevant regulations in the field of speech-language pathology.
- Conduct screenings to identify students who may benefit from speech-language services.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in Michigan.
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Approval from the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience in a school environment is preferred.
- Understanding of special education laws and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities.
- Capability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Michigan Speech-Language Pathologist License: Must possess a current license to practice in Michigan.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP): Must hold current certification from ASHA.
- Michigan Department of Education Approval: Must have or be eligible for MDE approval in a school context.
- Background Check: Successful completion of a background check and fingerprinting is required.
