Job Title: Medical Surgical Travel Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Surgical Travel Nurse to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a Medical Surgical Travel Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients, and provide bedside care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description:
  • Provide high-quality patient care in a Medical Surgical setting, including conducting patient assessments, prioritizing data collection, and performing ongoing assessments and treatments as ordered by a physician.
  • Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
  • Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs as needed.
  • Prepares equipment and aids physician during examination and treatment of patient.
  • Educates patients on surgical procedures and participates in discharge planning.

As a Medical Surgical Travel Nurse, you should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty. You should also be able to easily lift 20 pounds and move or lift patients as needed.

Requirements:
  • BLS certification
  • 3 years of experience in Medical Surgical nursing
