This role operates Monday through Thursday from 3:30 PM to 2:15 AM.
As an Intermediate Automotive Technician, your responsibilities will include conducting light to moderate automotive repairs and basic diagnostics on our fleet of vehicles, which encompasses:
- Executing general automotive repairs, including work on radiators, timing belts, alignments, and suspension systems.
- Completing repairs related to wheel bearings and axles.
- Managing vehicle climate control repairs and replacements for air conditioning systems and heater cores.

We offer a variety of Technician roles within our Inspection Centers, tailored to different levels of experience. Explore the opportunities below to see how you can contribute to preparing our low-mileage, late-model vehicles for our customers:
- Entry-Level Auto Technician (minimum 6 months of professional experience): responsible for performing light maintenance, fluid checks, and initial inspections to identify any necessary repairs during the reconditioning process.
- Brake and Tire Technician (minimum 1 year of professional experience): tasked with performing light maintenance or repairs, including brake and tire changes.
- Mid-Level Technician (Mechanical Repair / Build / General) (minimum 3 years of professional experience): responsible for light to moderate automotive repairs and basic diagnostics.
- Experienced Technician (minimum 5 years of professional experience): engaged in extensive repairs and heavy engine work, along with advanced diagnostics on all vehicle makes and models, including electric and hybrid options.
- Auto Body roles: Paint, Prep/Body work, Wheel Repair, Airbrush, Interior Repair, Glass Repair, and PDR (Paintless Dent Repair).
- Auto Technician/Mechanic roles: Lube and Oil, Inspection, Brake and Tire, Mechanical Repair / Build, and Master Technician.
- Entry-Level roles: Detailing, Inventory Associate (Car Porters), Photo, Parts Associate, Inspection, and Coordinator/Administrator.
- Ability to operate vehicle equipment and tools; must be capable of lifting up to 60 pounds independently.
- Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver's license. Some positions may require a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic production environment, occasionally facing extreme weather conditions (heat/cold).
- Utilization of safety equipment, which may include face shields or goggles, non-slip footwear, gloves, masks, and other protective gear.
To ensure our vehicles are in optimal condition, we have established multiple Reconditioning Centers nationwide, where our cars undergo thorough inspections, refinements, and photography before being listed on the Carvana website.
