Job Summary

The Radiologic Technologist II - CT Scan Specialist is a key member of the Radiology team at Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County. This role is responsible for performing standard CT procedures on designated body sections as per physician orders, ensuring accurate and efficient imaging results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the mission of Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County by providing high-quality patient care and imaging services.
  • Perform standard CT procedures, including positioning and instructing patients, to ensure accurate and efficient imaging results.
  • Select exposure factors and protocols to optimize image quality and patient safety.
  • Ensure patient care and safety by maintaining a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols, and reporting any concerns or issues to the Radiology Supervisor.
  • Transfer images and perform required paperwork to ensure seamless communication with healthcare teams.
  • Operate CT injector and administer contrast media as needed, following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Train and precept students and new employees to ensure a smooth transition and knowledge transfer.
  • Remain in compliance with education and certification requirements, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in radiologic technology.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Radiologic Technology Program with a strong foundation in CT imaging.
  • Minimum one year of radiologic technology experience, with a focus on CT procedures.
  • Bachelor of Science degree with a CT major preferred, demonstrating a strong understanding of radiologic and cross-sectional anatomy.
  • Certified and licensed Radiologic Technologist, with current CPR Certification.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Strong knowledge of CT equipment and safety procedures, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Proficient in EHR systems and computer applications, with the ability to navigate and utilize various software platforms.
  • Observant and accurate, with the ability to report patient conditions and concerns to the Radiology Supervisor.
