Position Overview:
The Registered Respiratory Therapist is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care in alignment with the core values of Covenant HealthCare. This role emphasizes outstanding customer service and a commitment to providing extraordinary care across all patient demographics.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough patient assessments focusing on respiratory health, providing recommendations to physicians, and implementing applicable protocols.
2. Manage ventilators in adult critical care settings, ensuring effective communication with healthcare teams and patient education.
3. Oversee ventilator management in pediatric and neonatal critical care, including all necessary procedures as directed by physicians.
4. Perform comprehensive Arterial Blood Gas analyses.
5. Administer respiratory therapies such as nebulizer treatments and chest physical therapy, ensuring documentation aligns with physician orders and departmental standards.
6. Collaborate effectively with fellow respiratory care staff, sharing insights on patient conditions and staffing requirements.
7. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patient care, ensuring proper handling and storage of equipment.
8. Participate in quality assurance activities and maintain up-to-date knowledge of respiratory care practices.

Qualifications:
- RRT licensed in Michigan with an Associate's degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Respiratory Care.
- Preferred certifications include Perinatal/Pediatrics Specialist, NRP, and ACLS.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with basic computer literacy.
