Job Title: Trailer Technician

We are seeking a skilled Trailer Technician to join our team at Stallion Infrastructure Services. As a Trailer Technician, you will be responsible for examining, troubleshooting, and diagnosing units that require repair and maintenance. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the quality and safety of our trailers.

Responsibilities:
  • Examine, troubleshoot, and diagnose units that require repair and maintenance
  • Install, repair, and maintain interior and exterior components on trailers, including restroom trailers, shower trailers, laundry trailers, and mobile command centers
  • Perform pre-delivery inspections, read and write repair orders, and troubleshoot, repair, and maintain fiberglass, body, and structural components
  • Install, repair, replace, and maintain roofs, siding, windows, doors, vents, awnings, floor coverings, cabinets, and electrical systems
  • Deliver, set up, break down, and return trailers before and after rentals are complete
  • Use testing equipment, troubleshooting techniques, and repair to manufacturers' specifications
  • Use manuals, catalogues, and internet search as needed to perform proper diagnostics
  • Use electronic and computerized instruments to perform diagnostics
  • Inspect, diagnose, repair, and/or upgrade restroom trailers
  • Maintain and install air conditioners, generators, jacks, stairs, plumbing components, and towing systems
  • Repair generators, pumps, and interior components
  • Clean, wash, and maintain trailers as assigned
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Tools will be provided
  • Ability and desire to obtain any certifications and licenses required
  • Ability to communicate with supervisors, warranty administrators, service advisors, and manufacturer representatives
  • Must be willing to work some weekends
  • Must be willing to travel overnight
  • Clean driving record
  • Team player
  • Able to work independently
  • Basic computer skills
  • Positive attitude
  • Good customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in the RV, Automotive, or Carpentry industry with an emphasis on repairs and installations
  • CDL and/or truck driving experience preferred
  • Must be able to comfortably hook up, tow, and back up large trailers safely
  • Previous experience troubleshooting Dometic and Coleman rooftop a/c preferred
  • Experience with repairs to both A/C 120vlt and D/C 12vlt wiring as well as electrical trailer brake system
  • Knowledge of on-demand residential/RV water heaters and small residential type 6-gallon electric water heaters
  • Familiarity with PEX plumbing and working in small spaces to trace leaks and the ability to work in tight areas to make necessary repairs
Work Environment:

Works in a variety of environment conditions, including wide temperature and weather variations, including heat, cold, snow, rain, wind; noise and vibrations, fumes, odors, and dust. Exposure to human waste is possible. Possible exposure to high traffic conditions while outside of the vehicle. This position is indoors/outdoors and/or driving GPS-monitored vehicle. Physically able to push or pull independently (unassisted) 50 pounds. Physically able to get up and down from the cab of a commercial motor vehicle. Physically able to work 8 to 12 hours in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, and snow).
