Facility Overview:

Memorial Hospital Belleville is a comprehensive acute care facility providing a wide range of medical and surgical services, including critical and emergency care. It features a full suite of diagnostic and treatment options, as well as specialized heart and vascular services. The hospital is recognized as a Chest Pain Center with PCI accreditation and is designated as an Acute Stroke Ready Hospital. Additionally, it has been accredited as a Lung Cancer Screening Center and holds Magnet status for nursing excellence.

Memorial Hospital Shiloh, a 94-bed facility with all-private suites, also holds Magnet recognition and offers emergency care, labor and delivery, and critical care services.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct patient care activities, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, adhering to nursing care standards.
  • Encourage patient and family-centered care in a supportive environment. Educate patients and families on managing their health conditions, including post-treatment care and medication administration.
  • Engage in initiatives that enhance patient safety, quality, and compliance with regulations. Participate in ongoing professional development.
  • Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans with specific goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and the patient, family, or caregiver, in accordance with established nursing standards.
  • Utilize critical nursing skills to assess and address physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and barriers to care, including their values and cultural needs.
  • This position is classified as safety-sensitive, requiring constant alertness and safe work practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing
  • Experience: No prior experience required
  • Supervisor Experience: Not required
  • Licenses & Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Experience: Less than 2 years in a nursing role
