Compensation by Location:
Anchorage or Palmer:
$29.73 per hour

Juneau:
$31.22 per hour

Key Responsibilities:


Under the guidance of the Department Procurement Manager, the Procurement Specialist (PS) 1/2 will collaborate closely with various divisions within the Department of Administration to facilitate their primary missions by executing professional procurement tasks.

The PS1 role involves supporting divisions with entry-level procurement activities, which include managing small procurements valued under $100,000. Additionally, this position may assist more experienced Procurement Specialists with larger projects and solicitations.

Other responsibilities encompass contract management, issuing contract amendments, overseeing agency leasing, managing vehicle and property inventories, and performing additional tasks as assigned.

As you gain expertise in this role, you may be entrusted with more advanced responsibilities. The PS2 role includes conducting procurements for designated clients, with the ability to manage formal solicitations, Invitations to Bid (ITB), and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) as permitted by Alaska Statutes and relevant regulations.

OPPM Level III procurement certification is required, as these certifications provide the necessary authority as outlined in Alaska Statutes.
