Service Technician/Mechanic Job Description

Karl Malone Powersports Provo is seeking a full-time Experienced Service Technician to work in a Certified shop. As a member of our team, you will help support customers through the timely repair and delivery of their vehicle.

Responsibilities
  • Perform duties per repair order with efficiency and accuracy, including the repair of vehicle automotive systems such as engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
  • Test a vehicle's components and systems using necessary test drives, diagnostic tools, and special service equipment.
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor regarding the vehicle's status and any additional needs. If additional repairs are needed, provide an estimate of the time needed for those repairs.
  • Complete all tasks assigned in a timely manner and maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed or needed.
  • Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area following prescribed safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Strong automotive background.
  • Strong skills in teamwork and communication.
  • Valid driver's license free from major infractions.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to see tasks through.
  • Prompt and courteous.
