As a prominent multi-disciplinary engineering firm, we provide a comprehensive suite of integrated engineering design, project support, procurement, and construction management services tailored for the energy and chemicals sectors.
Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced IE Engineer to facilitate Front-End Loading (FEL) activities at our client’s facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive engineering scopes of work for project design.
- Specify and troubleshoot substation equipment, including transformers and switchgear, operating at voltages up to 25,000 Volts.
- Handle 480 Volt electrical systems, including motor control centers and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
- Oversee backup power solutions, such as uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), batteries, and generators.
- Address harmonic filter specifications and troubleshooting.
- Review and validate electrical engineering design outputs for ongoing projects, including one-line diagrams and grounding plans.
- Apply knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70) in project execution.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure project alignment.
- Engage with client representatives on a daily basis to ensure project requirements are met.
- Conduct electrical calculations, including load studies and voltage drop assessments.
- Maintain familiarity with NFPA 70E standards for electrical safety in the workplace.
- Support interdisciplinary teams, including Instrumentation, Civil, Process, and Mechanical Engineering.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in specifying and troubleshooting high-voltage substation equipment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on project design.
- Experience in petrochemical facilities is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exemplary interpersonal and professional conduct.
Education Requirements:
A degree in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.
