Job Title: Assistant or Associate Professor of Veterinary Physiology

Utah State University is seeking a highly qualified Assistant or Associate Professor of Veterinary Physiology to join our team. As a key member of our Department of Veterinary Clinical and Life Sciences, you will be responsible for teaching veterinary physiology, developing and carrying out an independent research program, and contributing to the department's service activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach veterinary physiology courses in the DVM degree curriculum, developing and implementing innovative teaching methodologies, assessment tools, and evaluation criteria.
  • Develop and carry out a high-quality research program, mentoring graduate and undergraduate students, and publishing scholarship in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
  • Contribute to the department's service activities, including serving on committees, participating in curriculum development, and engaging in outreach and community service.
Qualifications:
  • PhD or DVM/PhD, or equivalent degree(s), with a strong background in veterinary physiology.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and as a team member in a collaborative setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Postdoctoral research experience, with a strong track record of published peer-reviewed scientific research.
  • A history of attracting significant federal research funding, with a demonstrated ability to design and implement a nationally recognized research program.
