Recreation Therapist Pool II

We are seeking a highly skilled Recreation Therapist Pool II to join our team at Rogers Behavioral Health. As a Recreation Therapist Pool II, you will be responsible for developing, planning, implementing, facilitating, directing, and evaluating experiential therapy programming in all specialized treatment areas.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement experiential therapy programs that promote psychosocial functioning and recovery skills in patients/residents.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to provide individualized treatment within a group setting.
- Utilize recreational activities to aid patients/residents in learning and applying recovery skills.
- Provide education and training to staff on recreational therapy techniques and best practices.
- Coordinate and evaluate student internships and provide feedback to students.
- BS/BA degree in art, music, dance, recreation, or other therapies required; Master's degree preferred.
- Certification/registration through appropriate credentialing board preferred.
- Valid driver's license in the state of employment.
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR or American Red Cross Professional Rescue certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Formal training in management of aggressive patients required within 60 days of hire.
- Experience working in a psychiatric setting.
- Knowledge of CBT and DBT skills.
- Experience with ropes and challenge course training.
