Pharmacy Technician Job Description

As a Pharmacy Technician at Meijer, you will play a vital role in supporting our customers and pharmacy team under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist. Your primary responsibilities will include performing administrative and service-based duties that ensure our customers receive exceptional care and service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Retrieve and manage medication inventory
  • Input customer and prescription information into the pharmacy dispensing system
  • Create prescription labels and process insurance claims
  • Complete paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders
  • Order and stock prescription medication
  • Promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to customers
  • Prioritize workload and maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Positive attitude and teamwork
  • Proficient typing skills and neat handwriting
  • Organizational and prioritization skills
