Job Title: Shift Supervisor

Job Summary

The Shift Supervisor is a key member of our production team, responsible for overseeing the daily activities of a team of hourly personnel. This role requires a strong leadership commitment to safety, quality, and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of production staff and coordinate daily activities
  • Maintain high standards for safety, food safety, quality, and production efficiency
  • Lead pre-shift toolbox meetings to discuss safety, food safety, quality, operations, and maintenance
  • Work with the Quality Manager to ensure quality control procedures and food safety standards are upheld
  • Implement Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, FSMA, and SQF requirements
  • Ensure proper cleaning and sanitation of the facility
  • Monitor work performance, coach employees, and address concerns
  • Develop a positive working relationship with plant management and functional areas
Requirements
  • Ability to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods, kneel, bend, and lift 50 lb. bags
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including rotating weekends and holidays
  • Experience in coaching others, including documenting corrective actions
  • Ability to analyze information quickly and troubleshoot equipment failures
