We are currently seeking a Precommissioning Engineer to assist in the execution of offshore projects. The Pipeline Hydrotesting and Precommissioning Engineer will report to either the Installation Engineering Manager or the Operations Manager, depending on the phase of project execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Oversee that Hydrotesting and Precommissioning engineering tasks are efficiently managed and executed.
  • Responsible for planning, supervising, and coordinating Hydrotesting and Precommissioning operations on-site.
  • Organize and direct the Hydrotesting and Precommissioning team, providing both technical and administrative support to ensure objectives are met effectively and economically.
  • Prepare and review documents, calculations, drawings, and schedules pertinent to the discipline.
  • Conduct technical and commercial assessments of Hydrotesting and Precommissioning subcontractor activities in relation to in-house cost estimations.
  • Ensure technical alignment with all other work phases, including participation in interface meetings.
  • Engage in discussions with clients regarding critical issues related to Hydrotesting and Precommissioning activities.
  • Responsible for the planning, mobilization, and operation of Hydrotesting and Precommissioning equipment and personnel on-site.
  • Lead Hydrotesting and Precommissioning engineering and construction efforts on-site.
  • Administer and coordinate the activities of Hydrotesting and Precommissioning subcontractors on-site.
  • Facilitate adequate training for Hydrotesting and Precommissioning Engineers, both in the office and on-site.

Participate and contribute to:

  • Project progress meetings,
  • Engineering coordination meetings,
  • Interface meetings with clients, other contractors, and subcontractors,
  • Technical review meetings (covering Procurement, Engineering, Fabrication, Operation, Interface),
  • Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) meetings,
  • Risk Assessment sessions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in precommissioning or commissioning within offshore Oil & Gas projects.
  • Availability for offshore assignments, including short-notice missions.
  • Proven experience in managing subcontractors.
  • Experience in a client-facing capacity.
  • This role requires both technical and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be a US citizen or authorized to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship.

All candidates must be local to the Houston area. Relocation assistance will not be provided.
