Polara Health is seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist to join our team. As a key member of our medical staff, you will be responsible for providing expert psychiatric services to our patients.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in psychiatry, with a minimum of five years' experience in clinical practice. You will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with mental health conditions, as well as collaborating with our healthcare team to develop comprehensive treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-site psychiatric services in an outpatient setting, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients.
  • Collaborate with our healthcare team to develop and implement treatment plans that meet the needs of our patients.
  • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, monitoring their utilization and ensuring cost-efficient coordination.
  • Conduct Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) procedures and provide multidisciplinary treatment plans for patients.
  • Document patient history, diagnosis, and treatment course in medical records, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Screen patients for placement or transfer to outside psychiatric treatment facilities or community mental health facilities, as needed.
Requirements:
  • MD degree in psychiatry, with a valid DEA license.
  • Minimum of five years' clinical experience in psychiatry, with a strong background in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Experience in risk-sharing contracts and ability to relate this to physician membership.
  • Ability to build rapport and establish a strong therapeutic working relationship with clients.
