Key Responsibilities

As an MRI Technologist at MedStar Health, you will play a critical role in obtaining high-quality images for diagnostic purposes. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our MRI equipment and providing exceptional patient care.

Primary Duties:
  • Operate MRI scanners to produce high-resolution images for diagnostic use.
  • Develop and process images to ensure optimal diagnostic quality.
  • Transfer images to produce transparency and ensure completeness.
  • Instruct and demonstrate MRI equipment operation to professional staff and students.
  • Notify personnel of equipment malfunctions and schedule repairs as needed.
  • Operate control consoles for patient scans, selecting proper imaging techniques and entering patient data.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a related specialty, such as CT scan.
  • ARRT registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Licensure by the State of Maryland or ARDMS/ARRT certification in Magnetic Resonance.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
