About the Role

Gpac is seeking an experienced Commercial Banker to join our team. As a key member of our banking team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with our clients, identifying new business opportunities, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loan Origination
    • Originate and process commercial loans, ensuring timely and accurate completion of loan documents.
    • Conduct thorough credit analysis and make recommendations to senior lenders.
  • Business Development
    • Develop and implement strategies to expand our client base and increase loan volume.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, identifying new business opportunities and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Portfolio Management
    • Monitor and maintain a high-quality asset base, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date client files, including financial statements and loan documentation.
  • Compliance and Risk Management
    • Ensure all lending operations are in accordance with established bank policy and are legally compliant.
    • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with loan portfolio.
Requirements
  • 5-10 years of combined credit underwriting, lending, business development, and sales experience.
  • A college degree in finance, accounting, or banking, or equivalent work experience in the banking industry.
  • Completion of the first level of Advanced Commercial Lending School, or Graduate Banking School, or Certified Community Lender Certification.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in sales skills and abilities for developing new business customer relationships.
  • Ability to motivate or influence others, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust.
