Overview

The Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center in Aurora, CO is seeking a dynamic and committed physician leader to serve as Chief of Hospital Medicine. This role involves providing administrative oversight and clinical supervision to the Hospitalist Section.

Salary

The salary range for this position is $275,000-$300,000 per annum.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluating patients admitted to Medical Service for inpatient management and disposition
  • Working closely with medical and surgical consultants and primary care physicians
  • Supervising residents and monitoring educational activities
  • Qualifying for an academic appointment at the University of Colorado (CU), Denver

Requirements

Candidates must be US citizens or PRAs, have completed residency training in Internal Medicine, and hold a full, unrestricted medical license in any state. Preferred qualifications include Board Certification in Internal Medicine, recent work experience in Hospital Medicine, and evidence of clinical leadership or scholarly activity.
