The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Systems Engineering, with experience in manufacturing plant data analysis and a passion for SMART Manufacturing and Data Automation.
Responsibilities- Initiate technical programs related to data integration and information flow across multiple platforms in manufacturing.
- Design, implement, and maintain software systems integrated with upper-level manufacturing and business data systems.
- Maintain data systems to provide information for decision-making by production, engineering, and support roles.
- Support development and adoption of company best practices for software and process technologies.
- Communicate project status and issues to stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.
- Champion self-development and provide high-level troubleshooting capabilities for manufacturing and supply chain teams.
- Keep supervisor informed of activities and recommend corrective actions.
- Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Ten combined years of experience in Systems Engineering or similar manufacturing experience.
- Manufacturing Plant Data Analysis Experience is required.
- Passion for SMART Manufacturing, Data Automation, and approaches to contribute to digital transformation.
- Efficient database skills.
- Experience with MES integration.
- Knowledge of PLCs, SCADA environments, Ethernet network communication, and Windows operating systems.
- IT systems integration experience and web and mobile application development.
- Understanding of deployment aspects of upper-level manufacturing and business data systems.
- Experience with Rockwell or Siemens automation and data acquisition platforms.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence project stakeholders.
- Ability to understand and translate business requirements into data and technical requirements.
- Team player with ability to meet project milestones in a matrix environment.
- Readiness to learn other technologies as needed.
VS Tech Solutions offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, based on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
