Position Overview

Cornell College is in search of a part-time Philosophy Instructor to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Philosophy or a related field, along with substantial experience in the discipline. Prior teaching experience in philosophy is highly desirable.

Course Details

The selected instructor will be responsible for teaching PHI 203: Logic and Critical Thinking. This course is designed to enhance students' analytical skills by examining arguments through the lenses of philosophy and cognitive science. The curriculum emphasizes the importance of reasoning, focusing on both deductive and inductive arguments, and aims to equip students with the tools necessary to assess beliefs critically.
