Main Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of security policies and standards
  • Supporting the planning and implementation of VM Tools
  • Monitoring system updates and assisting with their installation
  • Assisting with investigations of security issues and summarizing report findings
  • Providing up-to-date knowledge in areas such as computer viruses, intrusion detection systems, encryption systems, firewalls, etc.
  • Configuring agency Vulnerability Management tools
  • Generating, analyzing, and reporting on existing vulnerabilities and recommending mitigations
  • Monitoring US-Cert, SANS, and additional sources focused on new and evolving vulnerabilities affecting IT security

Requirements:

  • A solid understanding of current threats and tactics being used to attack systems
  • Experience providing similar services to other clients
  • A strong knowledge of vulnerability management tools and methodologies

Compensation:

$120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience
