Pediatric Critical Care Transport Nurse Position

Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville is in search of a committed professional to fill the role of Pediatric Critical Care Transport Nurse.

This full-time role offers flexible shifts to suit various schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer basic and advanced life support as well as critical care nursing.
  • Operate under the directives of physicians or Medical Directors to perform assessments, deliver treatment, and oversee patients during inter-facility transfers.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills while working in confined environments such as ambulances, helicopters, or fixed-wing aircraft, ensuring effective information exchange with medical teams.
  • Maintain composure and focus, demonstrating strong analytical skills to accurately evaluate patients and provide necessary interventions.
  • Assume accountability for patient care, including executing emergency procedures such as CPR, endotracheal intubation, and other critical actions.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing (mandatory), Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred)
  • Experience: 3-5 years of nursing experience, including 1-2 years in NICU, PICU, pediatric nursing, and neonatal care.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification, Licensed Registered Nurse.
