Job Description

Teledyne is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Buyer (Shared Services) to join our team. As a Buyer (Shared Services), you will be responsible for negotiating and procuring materials, equipment, and supplies from approved suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interface with suppliers, engineers, and other departments to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and equipment.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with suppliers to negotiate quotes and contracts.
  • Process and execute purchase orders in accordance with company policy and spend/approval matrix.
  • Ensure procurement specifications, drawings, and supplemental information are properly transmitted to suppliers.
  • Assess supplier performance for contracts and purchase orders.
  • Maintain and monitor inventory levels within scope of procurement responsibilities.
  • Expedite orders and provide status updates as required.
  • Support the department's continuous improvement and cost reduction goals.
  • Perform system maintenance within scope of responsibilities.
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies as required.
  • Monitor Master Supply and Non-Disclosure agreements for modification and/or renewal.
  • Manage special projects ensuring accuracy, high quality standards, and timely completion.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Some College Preferred.
  • One (1) to Three (3) Years Procurement Experience, low volume - high mix.
