Role Overview
As an Automotive Technician at Midas, you will be responsible for a variety of diagnostic, repair, and maintenance tasks. Your role will involve:
- Utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and computer systems to identify vehicle issues.
- Performing tire services, including installation and repair.
- Maintaining heating and air conditioning systems in vehicles.
- Inspecting and repairing steering and suspension components.
- Replacing belts and hoses as needed.
- Servicing radiator and engine cooling systems.
- Handling battery, starting, and charging system repairs.
- Conducting brake inspections and repairs.
- Performing oil changes and other routine maintenance.
- Addressing check engine light concerns.
- Providing exhaust system services.
- Conducting visual safety inspections and courtesy checks.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:
- The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with team members.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive systems, including brakes, exhaust, suspension, and engine diagnostics.
- A proven track record of high productivity and efficiency.
- Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations in repair facilities.
- Experience with shop equipment such as lifts, tire changers, alignment machines, and diagnostic tools.
- A high school diploma or equivalent; a technical degree is a plus.
- State-specific automotive repair certifications.
- A valid driver's license.
- Personal tools and equipment, including diagnostic scanners.
- The capability to service both foreign and domestic vehicles.
Compensation
Competitive hourly wage of $25.00.
