Nursing Professional I - Flexible Pool

The Nursing Professional delivers direct care to hospitalized patients.

This role involves evaluating patients and developing a personalized care plan that aligns with each patient's unique needs and objectives.

The Nursing Professional oversees the care, treatment, and services provided by LPNs/LVNs, RNTs/CNAs, and other personnel within the designated unit and shift.

This position is responsible for sharing information with the interdisciplinary team and promptly reporting patient concerns and changes in condition to the supervisor and/or physician.


Qualifications

License or Certification:

  • Current RN licensure in accordance with state regulations.
  • BLS certification (ACLS preferred).
  • CRRN certification is preferred.

Machines and Equipment Utilized:

  • Standard office equipment such as computers/laptops, telephones, copy/fax machines, calculators, scanners, etc.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Physical Requirements:

  • Visual acuity, speech recognition, and clarity of speech.
  • Capability to lift, lower, push, pull, and retrieve objects weighing at least 30 pounds, including medical supplies and equipment, as well as assisting in the transfer and repositioning of patients. Reasonable assistance may be requested for tasks exceeding these minimum requirements.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Effective oral and written communication, along with active listening skills. Proficiency in English is essential.
  • Ability to organize information, apply deductive reasoning, demonstrate social awareness, manage time effectively, and engage in critical thinking.
  • Capacity to coordinate, analyze, observe, make informed decisions, and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently without the need for continuous supervision.

Environmental Conditions:

  • Indoor, climate-controlled, smoke-free environment.
  • Accessible for individuals with disabilities.
  • May occasionally work under stressful conditions.

Proficiency or Productivity Standards:

  • Maintains regular, reliable, and predictable attendance and punctuality.
  • Complies with dress code, including wearing an ID badge.
  • Adheres to Standards of Business Conduct.
  • May be required to work weekdays and/or weekends, evenings and/or night shifts as necessary to meet operational needs.
  • May be required to work on religious and/or legal holidays as scheduled.
