Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Northwell Health. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive respiratory care to patients, including assessment, treatment, and education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments to determine patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
  • Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and mechanical ventilation as prescribed by physicians.
  • Provide patient and family education on respiratory care and disease management.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory care equipment, including ventilators and oxygen concentrators.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Current NYS Respiratory Therapist license required.
  • Certification and/or Registration from the National Board of Respiratory Care required.
  • Basic Life Support Certification required.
