Job Description

The Supply Chain Specialist role at Vallen involves performing procurement activities to ensure customer demand is met and aligned with our purchasing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess existing orders to determine action for expediting or de-expediting for optimal delivery.
  • Place purchase requisitions and vendor purchase orders.
  • Research, assess, and make recommendations for vendors and/or specific items of request.
  • Monitor product quality and timeliness, coordinating returns and replacements as needed.
  • Communicate with vendors to resolve delivery and quality issues.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and customers.
  • Identify opportunities for customer cost savings.
  • Follow all Vallen Standard Operating Procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; 1+ years of experience in procurement preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to learn ERP applications.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
