Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Sports Central Attendant at the Village of Orland Park's state-of-the-art Sportsplex health and fitness facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet all Sportsplex visitors in a friendly, courteous, and respectful manner.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, including directing patrons, providing information, and verifying membership and residency ID cards.
  • Handle cash transactions and issue wristbands as needed.
  • Maintain the service desk operations in an orderly fashion.
  • Answer telephones, respond to questions, and direct calls as needed.
  • Monitor and provide recreation equipment, towels, and locks to members and pass holders.
  • Assist with light janitorial duties when necessary.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or work toward completion of diploma required.
  • Prior customer service and cash handling experience highly preferred.
  • Energetic, organized, and strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Good computer and phone skills necessary.
  • Must be at least 16 years old; 18 years of age or older preferred.
Work Schedule:

Approximately 15-19 hours per week, with shifts varying on weekdays, including opening shifts starting at 5:30 AM and closing shifts at 10:00 PM.

Weekend and vacation availability preferred for morning/afternoon/closing shifts when necessary.

Individual schedules planned two weeks in advance based on staff availability.

Must be flexible and able to work a variety of different shifts, including some evenings and weekends.

Compensation and Benefits:

Hourly rate of pay: $16.30, DOQ.
